Degrees Available: Bachelor of Science

Master cutting-edge technologies and prepare to make an impact in a rapidly growing field.

From numbers, text and graphics to interactive animations, gaming strategies and proof systems, our computer science program will develop your capacity to use computing to answer questions and solve problems.

In addition to programming and object-oriented design, you’ll explore the structure of computers, the languages that control them and the mathematics of key algorithms. You’ll also delve into specialized areas of research.

Your senior capstone project will test your creativity and skill while providing you with hands-on experience as you develop your own project — like creating an iOS app for developing music listening skills, turning art into virtual reality spaces or designing a video game.

Along the way, you’ll benefit from a highly collaborative environment. Whether you’re sharing your ideas in class or enjoying a department event like our Thursday Computer Science Tea, you’ll forge relationships with peers and professors who are committed to your success.

By the time you graduate, you’ll be prepared to pursue postgraduate study or enter the workforce, armed with the skill, creativity and experience to excel in a vast array of careers.
