Gender Resource & Advocacy Center
The Gender Resource and Advocacy Center (GRAC) advocates for gender and sexuality justice and builds community at °µÍø½ûÇø. In the GRAC, our work is twofold. We provide both confidential support for victims/survivors of gender-based violence and supportive resources for the LGBTQIA+ campus community.
The GRAC welcomes all members of the °µÍø½ûÇø community regardless of gender or sexuality. We appreciate the differences in personal identities around gender identity and expression. We are committed to aligning our practices, policies and environment to create a community of inclusion for transgender and nonbinary students. Read more about the university’s commitment to trans inclusion here.
The GRAC is staffed by a director, who is the university's confidential advocate and students who are trained peer advocates and educators, sexuality specialists, and LGBTQ+ resource providers. Advocates respond to those who have experienced gender-based violence including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking. We are here to build community and pursue collaborative action with others who advocate for equity and anti-violence through an intersectional framework of liberation for all.
