Students interested in careers in sustainable, environmental, energy and natural resources law have the opportunity to enroll in a focused program of study and earn a specialized certificate along with their Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. The certificate seeks to provide students with an opportunity to engage in the intensive study of environmental and natural resources law.
Admission to the Program
All students are eligible to apply for the program. Students must submit an online application. In that application, students must attest to their academic good standing (i.e. cumulative GPA above 2.30), and provide a 250-word personal statement explaining why they wish to pursue the certificate. The director of the program reserves the discretion to cap the size of the programs, based on advising capacity and capstone course availability. Please contact the Program Director, Professor Susan Smith, for further information.
